| Photographed: says 1920, Georgia, Eight of Benjamin Sampson's eleven children are shown in this photo. Three other children died as infants. Joyce Family This photo is of my grandparents and their four oldest children. Standing is George Joyce, and Maggie Joyce Henderson, seated is Ben Joyce and Lena Joyce, and seated upon them is Bill Joyce and Austin Joyce. There were three more children to come later, Benny Joyce, Ruby Joyce Strickland, and Bruce Joyce. I believe this picture was taken around 1910 in Echols county because my father , Austin, was born August 6, 1909. |

| Katie Jordan This is Katie A. (Jordan) Deloach. She lived all her married life in Howell, Ga. Her husband was Eck Deloach, son of Henry Echols Deloach and Sarah Chauncey Deloach. Katie was born Aug. 6, 1888 and died May 16, 1944. Her parents were William and Susanna (Thompson) Jordan. Katie and Eck married in Clinch Co., Ga. on Sept. 18, 1909. They are both buried at the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Echols Co., Ga. They had two sons. One was Henry b. 1910 and 1910 and the second one was Frank Deloach b. 1914 and he d. 1915. Eck Deloach was b. Feb. 1, 1888 and he died Oct. 11, 1955. Contributed by Loretta Jordan. |
